PLOT SUMMARY
Enemy at The Gate 2001 : adalah sebuah film yang disutradarai oleh Jean-Jacques Annaud pada tahun 2001, dan diadaptasi dari sebuah buku yang ditulis oleh William Craig yang menceritakan kejadian-kejadian dan peristiwa-peristiwa sekitar Perang Dunia II. Seorang penembak jitu bernama Vasily Zaitsev dari kubu Uni Soviet melawan rival Jermannya, Mayor Heinz Thorvald, pada Pertempuran Stalingrad, 1942.

Maksud film ini adalah untuk menggambarkan peran propaganda di kedua kubu dalam perang ini dan memperalat peperangan penembak jitu (sniper-warfare) sebagai metafora pertempuran dahsyat antara kedua tentara ini.

Film ini banyak dikritik di Rusia dan di Eropa karena dianggap tidak akurat secara historis. Meskipun demikian, film ini lumayan sukses.
